34°.

The temperature -- here in Madison -- on the second to the last Saturday of summer. Wear your winter jacket to the Farmer's Market this morning. And think about football.

Can I make the obligatory global warming comments, and get them out of the way?

1. That's some serious global warming you got going there.

2. It's "climate change", not GW.

3. Is Al Gore in Madison?

4. People who conflate weather and climate are just fools.

I would think about football if the UW had not STOLEN my games by creating this new sports Network.

You don't get it Pogo.

It's cold in Madison this early precisely because of global warming. The Atlantic ocean salinity index is diminishing because the glacier on Mount Kilimanjaro is melting, thus lowering worldwide temperatures. It is getting colder because of global warming, and anyone who denies it is most likely also a Holocaust-denier.

Sorry teacher, it's the fall and the Yankees just beat the Red Sox in a stirring come from behind victory with a bonus that the Mets lost as well...crisp, cool air... leaves turning...it time for Yankee baseball...football can just wait it's turn.

Seems to me that the fact that it's cool in Madison proves the truth of global warming. End of discussion.

I blame George Bush.

NO! NO!NO! Evil has triumphed and the dirty hippies in the carmine hose have delivered a blow to all that is good and true and beautiful! We will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and proceed in our victorious march to the championship
