While you're in Brooklyn, you should meet Peggy Noonan for coffee and a chat.

Wow!! Where'd all those straight lines come from??? I thought Brooklyn was all curvy...

If you do meet Peggy Noonan, you could ask her if she was really serious when she said that Elian Gonzales was escorted to safety by dolphins who held him above the waves until he could be rescued off the coast of Florida. That was pretty funny. I've always wondered if that's the kind of thing Noonan actually believes, or if it's just what you tell the Republican base to keep them mystified and hypnotized.

Verso,
You are one sick puppy. You are an intellectual idiot and a mensa moron. The Clintonista crime family took a child by gun point and returned him to the bearded one, their idol. Janet Reno and Bill Clinton should be ashamed of this. They cite their cowardice and stupidity as pride.

They could have told the bearded bastard to fuck off, but they had no morals, no courage, no shame and no ethics.

I hope that bearded bastard dies a long, slow, painful, and tortured death. Ditto for the Clintons and Reno. Disease is the great equalizer.

BTW, gald you brought that up. Another nail in the coffin of the Clinton terrorist crime family.

Naked city...
Under the bridge I walked...
Trying to work it out...
Till the next night and fog.

Yeah verso, that was pretty funny.
A mother dies trying to save herself and her son from a brutal murdering dictator by getting on a raft and trying to cross shark infested waters.
Yes sir, that is just a real HOOT!

It was gray and slightly foggy under the bridge. There was no one else walking under the bridge at this hour. She was alone. Perfect for what she had in mind. She walked the rain slicked path toward the water to take in the sky line. She wasn’t nervous. He was never late and she had nothing to fear from him.

There was a haze that made the skyline resemble an old black and white photo. She heard a scratch behind her and turned quickly. It was the sound of a match being struck. She coaught sight of his face in the glow of the match. Ashen, stubble, and blood shot eyes. He lit the cigarette, inhaled deeply, and blew out a plume of blue gray smoke.
He was dressed shabbily and move towards her in an unsteady gait. He let the cigarette dangle from his lips as he put his hand in his coat pocket.

To be continued.

I lost my mind years ago. Somewhere around the time I took an oath...

SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that 's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:

I love how some Republicans will villify the Clintons for the Elian debacle (How dare they not let that boy have his freedom!), but when it comes to Mexican immigrants...no way! They have to wait their turn, back of the line!

zps,
By law, Cubans are given asylum if they make it to shore. Right or wrong, it is legal. Unlike the illegals who break the law to come here.

BTW, taking a child at gun point over a minor international flap and to appease the bearded idol does not put them in a good light.

Looks almost as though it ought to be a singer-songwriter's album cover - nice shot, Chris!

The Clintons (I love how I'm including Hillary in this...she wasn't even involved, but oh well!) and Reno were ridiculous and the whole thing was obscene. But worse things have happened, and that Elian family in Miami was just as ridiculous.

I understand that we unconditionally allow people in because they seek asylum from communist Cuba, and then we have a different, arduous set of conditions for people seeking asylum from poverty stricken, corruption plagued countries south of the border.

Seems the "policies" are dictated more by our archaic need to thumb our noses at a failed system of government than the humane and moral obligation to give everyone an equal shot. Isn't that what the market is all about?

I know we can't just open up the flood gates...but the game isn't fair.

You can include her. She claims to have been involved in policy. She claims to have worked for the rights of children. By pure inference, she may have been involved in this. I guess kids have a right to be taken away at gun point for purely political reasons.
