"For spring 2010, he engineered minute wrinkles into clothes to render them less serious..."

"... did away with socks (and, sometimes, even shoes); cropped well-proportioned trousers above the ankles and yet stopped shy of the Pee-wee Herman height now obligatory among early adopters. He built exaggerated, almost pagoda, shoulders into natty blazers (worn over jeans)...."

From an article about how the new fashions for men are all about comfort.

Wow, those are phenomenally ugly clothes.

Amazingly they were all outfits that would have looked good if he hadn't done all the things to them to make them "fashionable".

That guy in the rain boots completely stole that look from me.

I do like that boots outfit.

A rolling-out-of-bed-flopping-into anything-lying-around look with tie.

Nice!

The tie says: I meant to do this.

I saw Meade wear a tie one time!

I'll wear a tie again when we get married.

I may even wear shoes.

This designer is not preppie enough for me. Do you need an EU passport when you are wearing his clothes?

And I'll even take off my hat!

I kind of like that BLUE suit. BLUE BLUE BLUE. I like the color. It's BLUE. But I would never wear it. It screams out I AM WEARING A BLUE SUIT.

At least it looks well-tailored, which is more than I can say for the other ensembles.

I'll ask: Was he wearing only a tie?

Who actually wears this shit?

Runway models.

Comfort is the buzzword for men's high fashion every damned year.

For the women's lines, comfort never seems to enter into the equation.

No, Meade, you can leave your hat on.

Had to check to see if it was Tom Jones or Joe Cocker.

The whole world can be divided between Tom Jones and Joe Cocker.

People dress for status, comfort, or sex appeal. With men there is an overlay between high status clothes and sex appeal. You can get more women with sensitivity and Armani than you can with sensitivity and Levis. This is just the opposite with women. Cashmere and pearls don't have the same effect on the male libido as belly button bling and whale tails.....Although many women here would say that a man who chooses based on these signals is foolish, they would deny that the basis for their own choices is equally stupid. We all hold hands and go off the cliff together.
