We've found those "mice with fully functioning human brains" that Christine O'Donnell was worried about.

It's Pinky and the Brain, brain, brain, brain...

Good lord! She's right to be worried. Every night, they try to take over the world!

(Thanks to HKatz — katz and mice! — and, in the email, sonicfrog — frogz and mice.)

Pinky And The Brain cartoons were absolute genius. Ditto for the songs the Animaniac team came up with.

Almost as good as the Penguins Of Madagascar. Almost...

Save us, Pinky and The Brain.

It's the collective subconscious at work in O'Donnells space cadet personality. She is a great entertainer in the type of Gracie Allen in Burns and Allen. Calling all mice, GOP vote # 51 is needed on the Senate floor, so go tell Christine to stop with the humor and get in here and vote.

Not defending O'Donnell but this is the same Senate once occupied by Joe Effin' Biden. The bar is has been set really low here.

There's a little more to this than you think, Ann.

As opposed the open book that is our president of these United States.

From kindergarten to the White House.. Nobody has less of a paper trail than our president.

We know more about O'Donnell than Obama.. the most powerful man in the world?

Sorry for not felling humorous right now.

I'm looking again at the wikipedia article I linked to in the original comment; and there's this excerpt:

Brain is self-centered and scheming; Pinky is good-natured but feebleminded. In each episode, Brain devises a new plan to take over the world, which ultimately ends in failure, usually due to Pinky's idiocy or the impossibility of Brain's plan

There are a lot of lessons about politics, right there.

Mice with fully-functioning brains?

Those would be called "Independents".

ScottM is right!!! GREAT cartoon series built on every aspect of the foibles of the current human condition. And every Rube-Goldberg scheme of the Brain's had a kernel of scientific logic and/or scientific factual base. And of course after every scheme went awry the Brain would explain to Pinky the reason's why in a mission debrief as they headed back to the Lab to "do what we do EVERY night, Pinky, plot to take-over the world!"

(One of my all-time favorites involved duping a bunch of gullible kum-by-ya peacenicks to link hands across America so the Brain could beam brain-control radio waves via the tooth fillings of the nearest and have the control waves proceed via the electrostatic charge on their skin to the next all the way across America to give the Brain an Army of mindless automatons controlled by radio waves to carry out his take over. When the plan came a-cropper per usual the Brain was explaining reasons for the failure based on the principles of radio and electro-magnetism to Pinky and, by way of overarching explanation summing up by stating: "Pinky, the Laws of Physics explain EVERYTHING!" To which Pinky innocently replied "SOooo-then do the laws of physics explain why Donny and Marie Osmond have their own prime-time national TV variety show?" "Pinky," the Brain replied as he drew himself up to full height and said in his deepest, most serious voice: "There are SOME things that not even the Laws of Physics can explain!" LOL! )

I know!! They were the best. Now I'm going to be singing that song all afternoon.

I don't know that anything on now compares, but I am quite partial to "making fiends". Their song is catchy too.

I'm more concerned about Dogbert and his plan for world domination.

Clearly none of you have seen "The hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy".

Mice rule!

Dogbert beats Pinky & the Brain.

Pinky and the Brain would be much better Congress-critters than the current crop.

They would even *gasp* read the bill before they vote to make it law.

Ann should take this more seriously. Not the mice, and men, and men with mice brains, and brains without women, or mice without women's brains-

But the juvenile way she presented the thread, I take issue.

Reducing a serious person trying to do her best in the current fight for America's soul to a matter of "mice and brains" is...malicious, in my view.

Sit upon your academic elitist throne and mock her-after all. class is back in session-you have an eager audience.

Shame on you, Ann.

I've been reading you for years, this is the first time you've compelled me to opine.

She was referring to Mike Dukakis. There is scientific proof that she was right. (Hints: man, tank, video.)
