It's not late, summer hasn't even arrived yet.

But beautiful pic, Madame.

Quite evocative of the later days of summer.

Wisconsin was so brown and crispy last summer. It's nice to see it green again.

From Ace:

Neither the Pentagon nor State knew the Russkies were shipping arms to Syria.

What to the Russkies say?

We made no secret of it.

They're all going down.

Is the IRS union behind the IRS scandals?

Nice photo, by the way.

I did not see a headline about Sheryl Attkisson's brilliant reporting on Benghazi getting the WH idiots to say there were idiots for not acting during Benghazi.

"We're portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots," said one Obama administration official who was part of the Benghazi response. "It's actually closer to us being idiots."

------

There is a theory that Russia/Iran was behind Benghazi attack.

The nature of these IRS questions directed at conservatives reminds me not so much of Watergate, but the break-in of Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office, only on a much wider scale.

In August 1971, Krogh and Young met with G. Gordon Liddy and E. Howard Hunt in a basement office in the Old Executive Office Building. Hunt and Liddy recommended a "covert operation" to get a "mother lode" of information about Ellsberg's mental state in order to discredit him. Krogh and Young sent a memo to Ehrlichman seeking his approval for a "covert operation [to] be undertaken to examine all of the medical files still held by Ellsberg's psychiatrist." Ehrlichman approved under the condition that it be "done under your assurance that it is not traceable."

In other words, the Nixon White House only knew what they read in the papers on Friday.

Narnia.

I remember driving from California to Minnesota one time and the change in the color green as I drove until I got home to the most saturated Kelly green. In Minnesota even the weeds are green. (In California only the weeds are green.) Nevada is brown or the washed out color of sage brush... Wyoming is sage brush and sort of nasty pine color and blue... like those blue spruce in the picture.

Late afternoon sunlight helps too.

Too bad that only worked on CBS between 1965 and 70.

It's been on HotAir all day.

I've been looking for a video of a union big wig campaigning for Obama in Wisconsin saying something the sounded like a threat.

I cant find it... it was a CNN feed.

There is nobody coming forward, yet, but my theory is that there was a no holds bar, Alinskyan effort to reelect. The regular uniformed campaign may have evolved into an asymmetric, everything goes effort.

1.“Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

3.“Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.”

6.“A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”

9.“The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”

This one is in effect now, post election...

11.“If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”

Shoot first and sort it out later...
Interesting that the accuser, in this case Obama, was the one engaging in the tactic.

There will be a limit to what can be fixed, though.

Because at some point, even if the media is willing to cover this, they aren't going to condemn themselves and it could not have happened without the complicity of the press.

I found out why gas prices are so high around here. Remember, while I live in Wisconsin, I'm only 40-50 miles from the Twin Cities.

edutcher said...

Not buying it. Our prices are right behind yours and I don't think we are tied to those refineries.

And a logical step in the progression:

9th Demo Senator to want the IRS to lean on the Tea Parties?

The Dick from Illinois.

They won't talk about that.

It's called editing.

A symphony of greens we entered, our shadows green two;
One look - we knew - and sprang into the sky more green than blue.
