9/11.

Today is the 12-year anniversary of the attack on America (as well as the 1-year anniversary of the Benghazi attack).

I wonder what the anniversary of 9/11 will look like in 2051?

The images from that day are still horrible to look at. Too bad they're too often used with an agenda.

Perhaps it will be commemorated as a tasteless commercial for some French bookie.

It is also the 430th year since the great defeat of Muslim Turks at Vienna, Austria by Polish, German and other Christian troops.
Some have claimed that revenge for that defeat is basic to all "9/11" attacks.

September 11, 2001 was the continuation of Islam's 1400-year war on the entire world.

Muslims will continue to attack.

When oh when will our governments acknowledge, and change policies accordingly, what growing numbers of us know,

- that Islam and Western culture are utterly incompatible,

- that Islam and its adherents do really mean it with their threats of deadly harm, and their acts of murder such as 9/11, unless we accept/embrace Islam?

"what the anniversary of 9/11 will look like in 2051": a holiday widely observed in the Islamic Republic of France?

You left out the first 9-11 attack that killed Allende fifty years ago today.

Okay, forty years ago.

The 12th anniversary and it appears Obama has snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory in Afghanistan. 12 years ago in October Iran and the Muslim world along with the Russians truly feared us. After last night's speech they laugh at us. Heck of a job Barry.

Submit is the operative verb for the more virulent adherents. And radical Islam is embracive like an octopus is.

It may make you feel good to believe this, but it's not true. Victory in Afghanistan was never ours and never will be ours. We're acting exactly as the planners of 9/11 wished...we've fallen into their trap and we are in the process of self-destructing as a country greatly as a result of actions we have taken in these last dozen years. Russia knew what we were in for as they had previously experienced their own defeat in Afghanistan.

It's been a year since Benghazi. Has the administration completed its investigation yet? For months they refused to answer questions about it because the investigation was ongoing. Are they now prepared to tell us what happened and why? Do they now know what difference at this point it makes?

Neocon idiocy.
I have to say Cookie has a better grasp of how stupid both the Bush and Obama Administrations were in thinking they could nation-build Afghanistan.
Of course, the military "heroes" licking their boots and telling both Bush and Obama that victory was achievable with another 100 billion blown and 5,000 more "heroic" casualties each year here and there on behalf of the grateful Afghan people - were in their own way as mendacious as the Neocons.
