"Long before being nerdy was cool, there was Leonard Nimoy."

"Cool, logical, big-eared and level-headed, the center of Star Trek's optimistic, inclusive vision of humanity's future."

Said the cool and nerdy, big-eared Barack Obama.

As a Vulcan himself, the Pres should know.

A huge, glaring character difference between Spock and Obama:

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of... The One."

As usual when Obama I's mouth is moving he is actively deceiving someone. The trait Spock showed was submission to the legitimate authority of the ship vested in Kirk.

Spock did not pull an Obama version of HAL 9000 and start getting rid of everybody on the Enterprise that he felt was a threat to another segment of the ship's crew.

Ha! Way to turn someone's death into a compliment about yourself.

Spock would have Obama's version of Benghazi highly illogical. And would have led the away team, if necessary

Spock was open to persuasion if the facts dictated otherwise. He would have found Obama's Keystone veto highly illogical, and would denied Solyndra's bankruptcy claims.

Good catch! Everything, but everything, is about him.

The Cool Barack Obama?

The man is too petty and thin skinned to be 'cool'. And too '"lecture-y" (he often talks to us as if we are recalcitrant teens to need to be taken to task - not cool)

@Althouse, (1) Barack Obama is not cool, and (2) Barack Obama is a dweeb, not a nerd. Nerds are smart. Obama just dithers.

Obama needs to leave other people's stuff alone. Six plus years of him attaching himself to everything good has become annoying. Between him and Biden's creepy affection for females, its as if there is no normal sense of separation with these guys.

Obama is neither cool nor a nerd. He is a poseur extraordinaire and our Professor cannot help but be taken in by him.

Save her, Meade, save her.
