One of the things that will be great if we get a Republican president, besides the return of a skeptical media, will be an end to the cult of personality around the president.

... Unless it is Trump. But then, I doubt there'll be so much "sign this e-card" as "send a strippergram because the Don ain't getting any younger" cards.

Not sure he'd ever get the message, given the way emails go missing in his administration.

I was just at a county fair and the Democrats and Republicans both had booths. Never saw a single Hillary sign. I know this is Vermont, but you would think that party discipline would demand one.

I'm just devastated not to have been invited. Did get an email from Medicare, announcing they have started a Facebook page to celebrate 50th anniversary, asking me to go there and "Like" them.

Pass.

Will this apply to the sainted Reagan as well?

Worst. President. Ever.

And for once I agree with ARM.

Republicans need to get over the search for the next Reagan (and the desire to be inspired)

Reagan was only one of several Presidents who actually led the nation to whom Barack for lack of his own accomplishments compared himself a!ways to his benefit. Most Saints are canonized after rather than before their "miracles." Reagan included. Barack, not so much.

Reagan was hated by the left when he was president. Don't you remember (or don't want to ) "an amiable dunce" and "The Teflon president ?" Reagan had huge accomplishments with a hostile Congress for most of his terms.

The left still hates Reagan when they are not trying to imply that he really was one of them.

Anyone who thinks the right's respect for Reagan is on anywhere near the level of veneration that the left has for Obama is not quite in touch with the current pulse of the political world.

ARM...proudly displaying his ignorance and bigotry. When you think he can't be any dumber and dishonest he ratchets it up to a new level.

I would suggest that ARM believes critical thinking is illegal, but evidence indicates he is opposed to all kinds of thinking.

He's so vacuous I am surprised he doesn't implode.

how dare he have a birthday!

Reagan never celebrated birthdays....

I'll believe it's his birthday when I see his birth certificate. /sarc. Oh, yeah, just a reminder--the birther movement was founded by Democrats. As was the KKK, and the glorification of the Confederate Battle Flag by the Dixiecrats.

Happy BDay, Doofus. I hope you have a very long life so you can wither away in obscurity and irrelevance like another former Democrat president (whose initials are Jimmy Carter) and eventually watch every single facet of your supposed legacy be undone by the future generations of TEA party politicians currently rising in state legislatures throughout the country.

The greatest accomplishment you will know is the dissolution of the Democrat party as it splinters into a thousand disparate groups based upon individual victim identification. May you feast like Elagabalus! -CP

He had already had enough, thank you.

I quit celebrating them, too.

Never got the creepy "Greetings, Citizen" reminders from RFA informing me I'd forgotten Dear Leader's birthday.

So, no.

Remember school teachers leading children in song praising his name?

Yeah, me neither.

I'd like to send him an exploding cigar.

Insert Bill Clinton joke here.

As I celebrated Hitler's and B. Arnold's last birthdays.

Instead of the Democrats and their cultish remembrance and devotion to the One why can't one of their enforcers-the IRS just forget that I exist?

Did the Rat Pack pledge to be servants to Pres. Reagan like Ashton Kutcher and his mom did for Pres. Obama?

America's first moon blue President.

I do wish him a happy birthday and many more but I'm not signing the stupid card.

You won't like Medicare so much when your premiums jump next year. See today's Wall Street Journal.

I doubt the Dems will spend the next 30 years searching for the next Obama.

You don't find it a little sad that Republican's can't find any model of leadership other than Reagan's?
