Are Americans really into this Copa? I wish we could make this the second biggest tournament behind the World Cup.

See the latest on Prof. Markel's murder?

Ex-wife's family implicated in hiring the (now) two hit men. Her brother was "friends" with a woman that the recently arrested hit guy had children with. Other hit guy was already in jail on unrelated charges.

No word either way on whether or not ex was directly involved or had knowledge of the hit order, but sounding like one or both of her parents may have. (And I'll be surprised if the ex wasn't involved. IMHO, though she left him, Mama Bear did not like that he was finally dating, and the thought of another woman in her children's lives drove her to it.) Either way, what a tragedy, especially for the children.

Is that Colectivo? They have the same deal at their 68th & Wells cafe in Wauwatosa.

Can't wait to buy the props through the Althouse Amazon Portal.

One big black polyurethane cock.

One slightly smaller pale urethane cock.

A toy stuffed horse.

A small child's glittery pink socks.

Temporary tattoo paper for the swastikas.

So you can see: Big Budget.

I am Laslo.

"In order to form a more perfect Union".

Of course, the Union referenced was between States. In 1860, men regarded themselves as citizens of States, which States had then united to form the Union. I don't believe any modern American feels that sort of patriotism to a State. Indeed, one might wonder how upset Americans would be today, were it announced that California had voted to rejoin Mexico. I suppose a few property owners, and other racist haters like that, might get a bit upset. They can be dealt with. They're not armed.

Horror grips us as we watch you die.
All we can do is echo your anguished cry.
Stare as all your human feelings die,
We are leaving, you don't need us!

Adios, Demigos!

I worked on a project in La Crosse that converted an old Midas building into a bar and restaurant. Kept the garage doors much like the photo on this post. First thing that came to mind when I saw the picture.

Interesting article in the NYT by Adam Liptak. "Donald Trump Could Threaten U.S. Rule of Law, Scholars Say." I read this and I go, no shit. It took you until June to figure this out? I guess only some lawyers are hot-tempered and Jeffersonian. "Be sure to wear a brown shirt so I know who to punch in our street brawls," is what I was saying, like nine months ago. I could have had a baby in the time it took Adam Liptak to figure out that Donald Trump could threaten the rule of law. Anyway, slow and methodical Adam Liptak is now helpfully pointing out to the citizens of the world that Donald Trump could threaten the rule of law.

I notice he only cites Republicans and libertarians in his article. That's one of my favorite rhetorical moves! Find somebody on the other side who agrees with you, and cite the shit out of them. If Al Sharpton ever said, "Obama is an ass," I'd be citing Al Sharpton as a smart thinker. "Even the Reverend Al Sharpton, who has studied the words of Christ, says that Obama is an ass." And all the judges would be going "point," except for the French guy going "touché."

On Twitter, Ace is having a bit of a rant directed at Jake Tapper and I am so happy. He is pointing out how the media routinely talks about minorities as a voting bloc- in this case hispanics- but Trump talking about a minority person probably being against him is somehow racist.

One example:

"The Dishonorable DJT ‏@AceofSpadesHQ 8h8 hours ago
The media has said for a year "Hispanics don't like Trump b/c of the Wall issue" now Trump says that and he's *racist*? @jaketapper"

Another unforced error by Donald Trump.
That the judge has a Spanish name is not disqualifying, nor his "Mexican heritage," but his La Raza membership is under the circumstances.

(And personally, I would be dubious about any judge that did not have the judgment to avoid membership in such "far out of the mainstream organizations," never mind becoming a known activist in one.)

Hagar said...

I think that the State Dept. now has "found" the person who deleted the clip with James Rosen, but he just can't remember who the person was on the phone who told him to do it, means they are telling us the phone call did not come from within the department.

Probably the same person who told Valerie Plame to send her husband to Niger.

MadisonMan is right -- sunshine.

1. Stop wearing clothes.
2. Stop being so sweet; be more acidic. Less sugar and alcohol; more vinegar.
3. Practice better personal hygiene.
4. Consume more raw garlic.
5. Eat more yogurt.
6. Waste less time sitting around on the Internet.

No; that voice most likely was her husband's, and that the reason was just that they could use the money, rings true. Mr. Wilson did not know that this was going to be his opportunity to hit the jackpot.

I get jock itch walking 10-12 miles a day, ass eyes. Tell your bride to get off her fat ass and get some exercise. Now, go mow my lawn! And try and find at least one friend.

7. Your unresolved emotional conflicts could be influencing your physical biochemistry, contributing to a friendly habitat for the fungus you can't quite seem to shake. Try mindfulness excercises. See if you can let go of some of that toxic anger.

Meade said...

By the way, Nick, unlike you, I do have one friend. He's a lot of fun. His name is Gus.

Unfortunately, your fun gus is a little too friendly.

8. If you're going to walk so many miles, you need to do it without any pants on. Either that or take a break every mile or so, depants, air out, douche with vinegar, repeat. But I'm glad to see you're trying to lose some of that weight. Excess adipose tissue can create skin folds that are too fungal- friendly.

What camera are you using nowadays, Ann? I need to get a new one. thanks (if you reply), Luke

Meade said...

Luke, click on the photo and you'll see the information you seek.

(I would've said, "Luke, use the force" but I imagine you might be tired of that line.)

ndspinelli said...

LOL! I can get into that muddled head of yours and fuck w/ you any time I wish. I would feel guilty if you weren't so worthy of mind fucking. Your bride is much smarter and disciplined than you.

Luke, this camera is 5 years old. I rememybuying it to replace an identical camera that I dropped on the marble floor of the Wisconsin capital during the protests, which were in 2011.

I keep buying Panasonic to reuse btteries, but I've also had Sony and. Ikon digital cameras and all were fine.

Pro-Ex clotrimazole cream at Walmart, 88 cents for 1.5 oz. vs. $5 or more anywhere else. You can afford to buy as much as you need.
