"Two men in one-foot-tall bee-hive wigs, huge bug-eye sparkly sunglasses, fluffy dresses, bling and long gloves chatted happily."

Fetish Night at the Cardinal Bar -- a once-a-month event, here in Madison.

So I'm wondering what the fetish is for the two men in the bee-hive wigs: Are they drag queens, or just demented fans of The Far Side?

Enjoy the monthly decoration. We have it 24/7/365 in New Orleans, interrupted only briefly by major hurricanes.

I really, really wish the word "bling" would be dropped from the arsenal of "look I'm ironic and hip to the street culture" words deployed by newspaper writers (even student newspaper writers). There are perfectly good words, like "jewelery" or "necklaces" to describe, well, jewelry or necklaces.

palladian: Yessssssssssss.

Everyone needs to stop saying "bling" ...it's tired already!!!

and add to that list anything ending in "izzle" and "24/7"
