Everybody's talking about cannibalism.

I'm just checking the front page over at USAToday, and I'm struck by the top entry on the "most popular" list:

"Police: Woman killed her infant, ate part of brain." Has the country gone mad? More of this bath salts, the new LSD business? No, it's a story from 2009, revived because... Well, I'm promoting it now, and if you clicked on it, you're pumping its popularity.

And they say the zombie genre is on it's decline...

With a Brad Pitt zombie vehicle coming out later this year and new titles hitting the shelves constantly, I don't think so. Plus, well, we got guys playing zombie in Miami. It can't hurt sales.

Once more, when a man loses his vision of eternal life with a just and loving God, then he is left without hope and might as well act out his assigned Darwinian role as another Zombie marching into nothingness and oblivion.

And there is plenty wrong with that. I blame the SCOTUS for turning thr Freedom of Religion words in the First Amendment into a Freedom from religion game aimed at the school children who now have grown up with no hope in this world. Marxists just do not get it.

Arggghhh!

From now on, we'll have to be very careful to whom we say, "Eat me!".

Police say the 33-year-old Sanchez told officers who were called to her house early Sunday that she killed her son at the devil's request.

But the cannibalism . . . that was her idea, apparently.

Resourceful!

Gawker has pictures allegedly of the man whose face was eaten. If they're real (and they look pretty real), it's a horrific violation of the victim's medical privacy and if a health care professional leaked them that person should lose their license.

The cannibal's fate...

There are many forms of cannibalism, in this case the act resembles certain funerary rites practiced among some natives of Papua New Guinea who eat the brain matter of their deceased relatives as a means of ensuring their continued proximity with their family members.

Rudy Eugene's savage attack on Ronald Poppo did not at first suggest cannibalism. Instead I was reminded of this incident, just one of many examples of chimp attacks on humans which feature grievous injuries to the face. It made me wonder whether the "bath salts" psychosis may awaken some atavistic behavior pattern stored deep in the paleomammalian regions of the brain.

Human sacrifices to propitiate evil spirits is the oldest religion known on the planet, and it has not been pushed back everywhere. The whole Nazi gang was based upon a return to it.

The Christian revelation had eliminated it in the Americas until recently, but now it is seen as acceptable again. All volunteer victims line up on the left. Gaia is in need of fresh blood!

The zombie act is actually a half measure. Since a zombie is already dead, it has no blood to show as evidence of a human death being offered.
