"Right now they're just trying to adjust Jenny's performance on the show so that she comes off as more appealing, but that's an uphill battle."

Jenny = Jenny McCarthy. The show = "The View."
"ABC has begun doing deep research on Jenny's work on the show and the initial findings are that viewers want to tune out the second she opens her mouth!" a production source told Radar.

Considering all the damage this woman has done by pushing her reprehensible anti-vaccine campaign, it floors me she's on television at all. She should be shunned.

@Original Mike, total agreement.

I am curious who had the bright idea to hire her. To be a fly on the wall during that meeting!

She looked good naked, a few times, but I can't imagine would be interested in what she says.

Barbara Walters is 84?

She should solve this the way she has addressed all other career problems: Appear naked.

The person who signed of on this disastrous hire should be fired immediately. This may have been the worse hiring decision since Pier Morgan was tapped to replace Larry king!

This show was inflicted upon me recently in my doc's waiting room. Luckily, I was far enough away not to be able to hear it. I looked up, and it looked like a beautiful princess, three trolls and Bill O'Reilly. He was plugging his new book. The princess never said a word, as far as I could tell. I think she's just scenery, part of the set. No?

I have no idea who a Jenny McCarthy is, but for The View, ABC needs a scenic person who can speak the way they expect a Republican to speak, but can be easily overridden by the other four.

I hate this show (what little I've seen). Jenny McCarthy is pretty, but once she opens her mouth, she is vulgar (and not as intelligent as she thinks she is). Maybe a younger generation finds that vulgarity funny or appealing, but I'm thinking that the View's demographic skews a bit older.

Compare it to that other morning show with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. Both are likeable, funny, and easy to digest in the morning.

I feel my IQ dropping if I alight upon The View for more than 10 seconds - and I have to change the channel immediately or I start to drool. The View has always had that effect on me...it's not just Jenny McCarthy's fault!

"No shit" tag. Seriously. Really comes in handy.

Agree with Original Mike and Madison Man. Hope this is true and she is dropped fast.

The guy who invents a TV that automatically goes to "mute" when a pretty woman appears will make a fortune.

'The View' is the dimmest political show on TV. What percentage of their audience are men? 10 percent?

It just shows Mencken was right -and Coulter, who thinks women shouldn't vote.

I wonder if mothers whose children have polio or whooping cough, etc. think she still has any credibility?

My own daughter, who has 1 year old, read the thoroughly debunked research and was considering not immunizing my grandson. I was able to convince her otherwise.

When she continues to spout the anti-vaccine nonsense after being completely and totally debunked, she deserves a fate far worse than being dumped from The View.

It's the inner beauty that matters, right?

Sometimes when I feel guilty about watching Sponge Bob reruns, I reflect that there are others out there who watch The View and then I don't feel so bad.

I thought a celebrity's Q score measured exactly that sort of appeal and was kept in some sort of not-so-secret master producer database. How could this be news?

I heard Jenny state her position towards (on Howard Stern's XM radio show) immunizations along the lines of "don't give the cocktail of everything in one shot. Give one separate immunization per week." She seemed to have a theory that the cocktail was more risky. She said she was OK with immunizations.

She was very annoying on the radio, she is easier on the eyes than on the ears. I don't think many women would want to listen to her sassy vulgarities on The View.

Isn't there a point of annoying at which one can no longer discern an absolute increase in annoying? And if so, how can anyone find anyone especially annoying on that show?
