"What's wrong with books?... Just be an American!"

That's from 2010, but I'd never seen it before. I got it from a GQ list of "The 100 Funniest Things in the History of the Internet." The list is from a year ago, but I just noticed it today. There were a few things on the list that were new to me (or else I'd forgotten them), like this delightful song about George Washington from 2009 (warning: language... and testicles):

Delightful? Is this a new ironic use of the word?

Besties... How many degrees of meta can any artistic effort withstand before it degrades into tedious nonsense? Not many, evidently. And they didn't even give a nod to Wendy Carlos, what else can one expect from such self-absorbed bores?

Ironic, given the Titus style, which consists of making moot points at the top of his rhetorical lungs. Next time the urge to share his latest non sequitur overtakes him, maybe he'll apply the mute button instead.

I think one or both of these videos should help a lot.

Re Washington:

I think the punch line from the joke in Lincoln is apropos:

"The world knows nothing will make an Englishman shit quicker than the sight of George Washington."

You should check out the Professor Brothers series, too, especially the TA interview. They also have a good JFK song.
