Hitting the wall.

IMG_0665

It's very hot here in Madison today, hot and windy. Hiding indoors, I watched 4 — 4! — of the morning talking-heads shows, but there's nothing I want to write about them. Or... okay: Donald Trump was on at least 3 of them, literally phoning it in, saying the same thing in response to the same questions. How will he act in the debate? He doesn't know. He's never been in a debate before. He's not a debater... like those other guys. He won't be on the attack, because he's a "nice guy," but if others attack him, he'll punch back twice as hard (not that he used the Obama-associated phrase "punch back twice as hard"). He wants to make America great again, and he's the one who can do it, because he's a guy who gets things done. And:
CHUCK TODD: Who would you rather face: Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden?

DONALD TRUMP: Well, I don't have a choice. I would say this. I think with what she's doing and how she's coming out, you know, she's got a terrible record. She's probably the worst secretary of state in the history of this country. And, she's now, the email thing, I mean, what they did with Petraeus is they destroyed his life. What she did is far greater and far worse than Petraeus did. So I would think that she at some point you're going to get a prosecutor who's going to be an honorable prosecutor. And there's going to be major problems for her. So I would think other people would be looking.
That's from "Meet the Press," but he made the Hillary-Petraeus comparison in each of his phoned-in interviews.

Question: What would normally happen if the same topic(which in this example is Hillary Clinton) is raised by different interviewers?

Another question: What’s it called when the normal, commonplace and mundane are unrealistically elevated into something ominous or suspicious?

Trump would be better than Hillary! or Sanders or any democrat. Better than almost all Republicans, too. After Obama, there is no bar too low. At least Trump gives a shit about the US.

Key phrase: ".... get a prosecutor who's going to be an honorable prosecutor ..." From the Obama DOJ? What a laugh.

The only way she will be prosecuted is if Obama decides Joe "Gaffamatic" Biden wants to enter the race. She will then be toast.

I didn't see it, but the thought of Trump saying this on national TV does make me smile.

Not proud of that, but hey... That's about what every GOP candidate needs to say but won't.

Hmmm...

Good point. I didn't see him on any. MTP was the best today from what I saw.

Mr Bombastic Clown Jackass is giving well reasoned and focused factual statements...what happened to the comedian playing to the angry crazy people???

Maybe Trump. Is a mature and skillful adult warrior. That is news to the punditocracy.

The more the Trump story unfolds, the more I view him as a net positive for the GOP. Sure, he's bombastic and unorthodox. No, I don't think he will ultimately win the nomination.

But, he actually punches back against the Left-wing media pretty hard, which keeps them on their heels. And this, generally, will help the 2 or 3 candidates who emerge from the pack.

I still prefer Walker. If Trump were somehow to win the nomination, though, I'd support him. I've had to vote for several RINOs in California, because there were so few options, so I can vote for the Trumpster, if necessary.

Better you than me, madam.

How is there a Trump thread without a bunch of Trump haters hating on Trump?

Boring.

Trump could be attacking Hillary! since she is the front-runner, or because he would rather run in the general against Biden. Or both could be true at the same time.
